The Project Managers

Brian Williams

Brian’s philosophy for business has always been to try to give back to communities that Ashton services. He has always believed a strong work ethic goes a long way in being successful and it has resulted in Ashton Service Group being in business for over 25 years.

Brian has helped out at numerous organizations such as the Union Gospel Mission, Volunteer Richmond (Circle of Friends) and the Richmond Christmas Fund and now the Emily Project. While coordinating the Emily project, Brian’s staff wanted to form a charity committee with the goal of making it easier for Ashton employees to be more involved in community events and projects. The committee is the Ashton Caring Team or A.C.T., for short.

Brian came to oversee the Emily project through his good friend Rick Hansen, who over lunch told Brian of a young girl and her family’s need of a bathroom renovation. Brian and Julie decided to meet with the DeBoer family to see how they could help. Brian and Julie were so moved by the DeBoer’s story that without any hesitation, they decided to try to get the entire house renovated instead. Brian discussed the Emily Project with his good friend Ken Johnson, who decided to take on the project and everything began to fall into place with the help and generosity of many individuals and companies.

Ken Johnson

Carerra Projects Ltd. is owned and operated by Ken Johnson, General Contractor, of South Surrey. Ken has been involved in the real estate construction and development industry since 1977 working in the Lower Mainland and Washington State. Since 2008, Carerra Projects has concentrated on home renovations and new construction from White Rock to Delta to Richmond.

Ken Johnson has been great friends with Brian Williams for many years and when Brian told Ken about the Emily Project, Ken jumped in with both his feet. Ken has helped Brian and the DeBoer family out tremendously with his knowledge and resources and even brought some of his friends in the industry aboard on the project.
